how to find if an abandoned building is for sale. I knwo the general area but not the specific address

Laurie,

Unless someone posts the web link you'll need, you may have a tough time finding the info. (As most brokers do, I subscribe to a public records service, so that's where I get my info.) If you like, I could look it up for you and give you the records needed to figure it out so you could contact the owner. Just give me a call, should take about 5 minutes.

if you can find adjacent buildings and their address, you could figure out in public records and mapping the address, then find the recorded owners and ask them if they're considering selling.
