There are various sources out there, realtors, craigs list, http://propertynut.com, newspapers, property managers.... I was just do a google search in the area that you want to live in.

I would also recommend using craigslist, it is a great resource and is constantly being used. The MLS is also a resource.

All great answers you have been giving. I personally also recommend the Classifieds section of your local newspaper, they usually have many good and services including Property Rentals. Also word of mouth is good as well, I'm sure someone you work with might know someone that needs a renter.
