You might want to check out the link below for Carolina Vacation Homes. My business partner, Shelda Muirhead, specializes in vacation rentals in the Maggie Valley/Smokey Mountain area. She has some beautiful homes - mostly log homes - with privacy, hot tubs, views, etc. I'm sure she has something that you'd like!
You might also check the classifieds in the Mountaineer, our local paper in the Waynesville - Maggie Valley area. http://www.themountaineer.com/
Hello Lawana,
I live in Maggie Valley and work in real estate in Haywood County. The best places to search for rentals are Select Homes (828-456-6111) and a newspaper called Iwanna (http://www.ashevilleiwanna.com/). I also agree you should look on craigslist, etc. You might also call local real estate companies and ask if they have rental departments. The rental departments are primarily for vacation rentals, but sometimes an owner will be willing to rent their home on a long-term rental. Hope this helps!
Hi Lawana,
The 3 cities you mentioned represent a fairly large radius to be searching in. Is there anything in particular (job, school, etc...) you are basing - or hope to base - your search on? Also, I assume this request is for a long-term, and not vacation rental unit?
I agree with Penny's response below, in that the local newspaper classified ads are a good place to start researching homes for rent in the area. Links below point to their online versions:
Asheville: http://www.citizen-times.com
Hendersonville: http://www.blueridgenow.com/
Waynesville/Maggie Valley: http://www.smokymountainnews.com/
Another option is contacting property management companies throughout the area, whose job it is to find tenants for their client's vacant properties...
Best of luck to you, Lawana. I hope this bit of info helps, and please don't hesitate to contact me if I can be of any further assistance. I'd be honored to help you relocate to this beautiful area!
All That's Good,
Tony M.
I would try the local paper and Craig's list.
Good luck!
