I have this great mountain/vacation property listed. This property is pretty remote, on a private lake, with a main and guest cottage. The home is well maintained and provides a home warranty. It's a steal at the list price. I feel that the remoteness of the property is our greatest challenge in increasing traffic to the home. Once there, buyers will realize that it isn't as far out as it seems, but getting them there seems to be the problem. I have marketed this place every way I can think of, and we have only had one showing in four months. I have contacted everyone possible. Notified all of the local rafting companies, b&b's, and other tourist facillities. I have done an extensive internet, direct mail, and face to face marketing campaign. I've never had such a poor response, especially with such a great property at such a great price. If anyone can think of any new or interesting ideas, please let me know.
Host an Open House cocktail property and invite the entire surrounding area as well as anyone on your mailing list. I had over 100 people come to my first one. My second, we got about 25. Do it during the week from like 5-7. Good Luck!
