Hi Jim

You have many choices - maybe too many! As with all publications/web sites, you need recognize that the writer is likely to slant the information according to his prjudices e.g. statistics can be made to demonstarate anything you want to prove. However, you could take a look at:
- the Orlando Sentinel, in print or on line

If you need any help with specific questions, please just le me know.

Hi Jim -
The best source of info is through ORRA (our real estate board). The send info out via email and by snail mail with what the stats are with solds, actives, pendings, etc. This is very important information to know when working with buyers or sellers.

Aside from their info, go to (Florida specific info) ActiveRain, and also

Real estate is local - Orlando is huge, so each city or neighborhood will have different things going on. Get into the MLS system for the area's you work in and see how many listings there are. How many sell? How many go pending each month, expire, withdraw.

Set up a saved search in the mls so you know what is happening in your AOE. Once you do this, you'll begin to know the market.
