We are relocating to the DeLand, Fl area soon. Why would we choose to buy there verses Sanford or Lake Mary?

Should we lease until prices level out a bit more?

I;ve lived in Lake Mary and know the area, I think you should look in all three areas before you make a decision and I can show you around town, All three areas have many good living conditions and activities and dining and shopping. Let me know when you will be in town. email to me monikadepalo@adamscameron.com

I'm looking forward to meeting you.

Good morning and I must agree with Louise - all great areas with their own flavor and personalities. The area that you choose will of course depend on your special needs and interests (and if working where your place of employment is located) and if children are involved thier educational needs. Leasing would require you to move more than once (I personally hope I do not have to move again!!). There are some great buys in the real estate market today and remember that "It is only a Buyer's Market If You Buy". In order to be of more assistance to you I would need to more about you and your personal criteria, wants and needs - Have a Great Day and I look forward to your reply and assisting you.

Hi Moving--If you are partial to older homes with lots of character, Deland and City of Sanford are great. You can find old craftsman style and traditional homes with hardwood floors, deep molding, and front porches. There's also a terrific golf community, Victoria Park, and a great 55+ community (Victoria Gardens) in Deland where you'll find some great values at the moment. Lake Mary was voted the #1 Place in the South to Live a couple of years ago and offers a very nice atmosphere--close enough to town and the attractions to be an easy trip, yet far enough away to avoid the chaos of "tourist" areas.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of those cities--they're quite different from each other. It'll just be a matter of what appeals to you.

If you're looking for an agent to help you find the perfect house, give me a call. Best of luck and Happy House Hunting!
