Is there a way to check on New Canaan properties that received damage/flooding in the April '07 Nor'easter?

Many thanks to you both; I was hoping that was the case.

I agree with Diane - a Realtor will know some of the areas that most likely would be affected, but I have been dealing with clients and or potential sellers that have not had water in their basementssince they owned the home. That has been 25-30 years in a lot of cases. That being said, there are things you can do to help relieve the pressure that water puts on the foundation of the home. Also, if the homes have received water during that one storm, it has to be disclosed, as Diane mentioned. Hope this helps.

A local realtor would know what areas were affected. That being said, if you find a property there that you like, the sellers' disclosure should make mention of the flood if the home was affected by it. Be sure to get one.
