Follow Stacy's advice in her answer previous. Just in case the Cook County Treasyurer's office gives you a tax bill that shows "Taxpayer of Record" or a Trust Account, you can also try the Cook County Recorder of Deeds at http://www.ccrd.info/CCRD/il031/index.jsp. At the Recorders Office you can search by PIN number (which you'll get at the Assessor's office) and read one-line descriptions of all the documents that are recorded against the property. If you're really serious about digging up information, you can purchase a copy of the full document at the Recorder's website for around $1 per page.

go to http://www.cookcountyassessor.com and look up the address to get the tax pin number then go to http://www.cookcountytreasurer.com and look up the tax bill.
