My world is real estate investment. My team uses Twitter all the time. We haven't found a lot of individual buyers on Twitter but have had great success finding and locating like-minded individuals to network with. This has resulted in some referral business coming our way from other states/countries.
You do have to sift through a lot of junk, example "Just got back from lunch!" comments, but using the new search function of Twitter, I have found a lot of great people to network with.
It seems like the connectivity world is getting diluted with blogs and spaces to communicate. There are only a few that offer places where both Realtors and buyers/sellers can meet..and Trulia is a good one as well as Active Rain and a couple of others. I had checked out Twitter and it doesn't seem to be the place for Realtors except in your spare time??
I am with Jason! I am not that hi-tech and have better use of my limited time other than something that really doesn't seem to be effective. It is not for me at all!! I have a team that scouts out where they feel my best fit is. They are always right on the money, regarding media, internet exposure, blogging, etc. They hated Twitter. That might be too strong, strongly disliked it.
Take care Joe,
