How do I find out about an empty house?

Hi Heidi! We (Realtors) can search the tax records to find the owner of record for any address. It gets a little tricky if it is in the process of forclosure. Have you noticed an orange sticker on the front door or window? That is usually a good clue too!

FIRST ANSWER
If you go to public records for the area (google it) you should be able to put the address in and it will give you the owner. The easiest way would be to ask an agent to do it. We have resources at hand that you may not have. Good luck.
