If you are seeking Section 8 assistance, try going to your local Housing Authority office to find out when they will be accepting applications. Sometimes there is a waiting list, and the Housing Authority will advertise in the local newspaper when new applicants can apply for assistance.

It depends on what town you live in. The City of New Haven is very easy. You could find more information on their website, try googling the city you are looking in. The city might have a website and give you more info.
