Finding home rentals near the Waukesha Area is like pulling teeth. Was interested in a home rental since I'm

moving from out of state (job promotion) while I begin looking for a home purchase after familiarizing myself with the area. I've tried several sites but have found practically nothing. Any help?

I talked to several agents in my office who have assisted people with finding home rentals. They all said that since it is very un-common for homeowners to rent their homes out (unless they are actual duplex or townhouse properties). The best sources they found for rental postings were Craigslist.org.
You also may find some rental postings on JSonline.com (which is the Journal-Sentinel newspaper website). You'll find some classifieds in there.

Again, you will have more chance to find rentals of 2-family homes or multi-family units rather than single family homes here in the area.
Good Luck in your move.

I'm sorry that there seems to be lack of home rental services here in Milwaukee/Waukesha County area. As a lifetime resident, my observation is that most "homes" are owner occupied. We see a few more homes being rented out as people who can't get the home Sold as quickly as they liked, but that is not a majority.

Are you being moved here with a Relocation package from your Company? They may have access to a rental program service.I have posted rental requests on our Metro MLS message board to other agents, as they may know of a home-owner that wishes a short-term rental. Most of the rentals here are apartments.

I will check on some other options and follow this post and advise if I see any.

All the Best - Welcome to the area
