A virtual assistant is someone who works from home but assists agents with various administrative duties.
HI Susie,
I wasn't sure if you were looking for additional info about VA's or were already a practicing VA. Check out this thread for additional info:

Also, google Alan Hainge, Cyber Real Estate and REVA and find quite a bit.
If you have a good working knowledge of graphic arts, you may not need the certification of REVA or IREAA to secure work.
Feel free to contact me directly, or post additional questions here.
Regards
Deborah
Thank you for all the feedback! Thank you Kathy for the info regarding IREAA. The site seems to have an abundance of great insight!
I am a freelance graphic artist. I am thinking about expanding my services. I thought being a virtual assistant would be a great fit since I currently design fliers for a realtor and have worked with another realtor in the past.
The reason I posted here is to find out if there is a demand for VAs. The classes are expensive so I want to make sure I am making a good investment by becoming a certified VA.
Susie, I first began using Virtual Assistants in the late '90s to help design my newsletter and email stationery. Over the years I have outsourced listing assistance, presentations, fliers, website design, internet lead follow up, email campaigns... The list goes on.
Are you looking to serve Realtors in that role? I suggest you investigate the International Real Estate Assistance Association http://www.ireaa.com/ for suggestions.
We have an agent in the office that uses a virtual assistant and could not be more pleased. I myself have not used one. I would like to hear what the others have to say.
