Thats the dumbest blog I have ever seen. One of the comments has made it pretty clear why trulia pages rank higher. Its not because they block out going links, its because they do a URL rewrite (among other things). Plus as a realtor do you really care how the buyer came to you. Through trulia or your own site? At the end of the day you are getting your commission. Plus nobody searches for properties directly typing their address (unless you have seen them before). Sites like trulia let new buyers start out their search and then also get in touch with prospective agents. (I got mine through redfin.com) Believe it or not , sites like trulia actually do work for realtors better than their own sites. Thu May 1 2008, 11:39

Wannanetwork.com is a great one. While I understand your frustration with postees attempting to be Realtors, acting as a Realtor when you are not one is against the law; granted no one may be out there prosecuting them but maybe they should. Maybe Trulia should require you to enter NRDS info or License number or both before it allows you to claim you are a Realtor. Like any other Licensed profession there is a reason it is Licensed is to protect the public.
It will be interesting to see in the future if someone brings a lawsuit against one of these people posing as a Realtor and if they can be held liable for damages? Voices? I am not afraid to answer! LOL If people want to bash Realtorshttp:// www.OutrageousAgent.com is a good one. Thu May 1 2008, 11:36 Web Reference: http://wannanetwork.com

I think I found an answer that will make many Realtors happy. I just spoke on the phone with someone fromhttp:// www.Realtor.com ad they said that there is something in the works that will be available to registered Realtors to exchange ideas. It is currently in the works and may be out later this year. This will keep people claiming to be agents from trolling and putting in useless replies. I hope this helps.

I have been lurking this site for a long time and I have to agree about the fact that it is like the old west of the internet. I would be very interested in finding a more "friendly" site that caters more to Realtors and their exchange of ideas. To me this site just comes off as hungry to get listings and no use for Realtors other than to get the ones that post information here for free. That is beyond me why anyone would come to a site that makes money through real estate but yets gets your knowledge for free. Just my opinion and I am sure it will be censored.
