Sorry to hear about your ordeal. Unfortunately, late payments can and will hurt your credit scores. Credit scores determine if you are qualifiable, then from there your income, assets, and length of income are looked at to determine the risks of granting you a loan. Do you know what your credit scores are? Are you looking to refinance your home? Do you know what you owe your bank, and how many times were you late with the mortgage if any. Mortgage late's can disqualify you from a new loan. If you need help obtaining your credit report with scores, understanding your credit, and preparing a plan of action to get you qualified, please do not hesitate to contact my office.
Have a great day;
