For a community with a total population of 24,000 people that can never get over 28,000 we are lucky to have New Frontiers a great grocery market with all organic foods and several restaurants, including the new Artist's Corner is Solvang. Many of our restaurants use the fresh produce from the valley, many of them grow their own produce. Along Refugio Avenue the Finley Farms has an honor stand full of fruits and vegetables and herbs that they grow. Somerset Farms has a stand along highway 154 and Baseline where they offer what they grow, preserve in jars and bake. On Alamo Pintado there are two apple stands for the apples when they are ripe and a stand for Peaches, a farm stand and Buttonwood farms.
The Santa Ynez Valley is a veritable fruit and vegetable basket when they are growing and then, New Frontiers, El Rancho market and Nielsen's provide organic produce year around.
