Where do I find organic products in San Francisco?
I am looking for a organic market in San Francisco, possibly close to Embarcadero. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

If you like farmer's markets and are not willing to pay $4 for a pear, try the Alemany Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings until around 2pm. There are by far more booths that sell non-organic produce but there are at least 3 booths that sell produce from all-organic local farms...at good prices.

Organicexpress.com delivers fresh organic produce to me every other week, but really you can pretty much get it anywhere in the city. Even Safeway in the marina is selling it there days. Rainbow Grocery in the Mission is a great place for all "earthy" foods/produce as well.

If you don't mind spending $4 on a pear, you should try the farmers market on Saturdays at the Ferry Building. The produce is fantastic and it's a fun San Francisco scene.

Drive over the bridge to the legendary Berkeley Bowl for the best variety of organic and conventional produce. You'll save so much money vs. Whole Foods, it makes the trip worth it! They also have a great meat and fish (sustainably caught) selection. Lastly, it's family-owned, a rarity in this day of mega stores.
