To make an offer on a property, you should be represented by a Buyer’s Agent. The Buyer’s Agent will work on your behalf throughout the transaction. This is very important since the Listing Agent represents the seller.

Sometimes the property tax valuation is not highly correlated to the property value. Assessments are mailed in the mid to late summer and payment is due in the mid to late fall. Within 30 days of receiving your assessment you can appeal this amount. The tax bill will explain the process. Because the last sale of a property in the current market is often higher most people will be over assessed and over taxed. Having a professional appeal the tax is a smart idea.

Georgia passed legislation that requires the assessment be the purchase price the year after a sale. You still may need to file a return to get the lower assessment.

Current property tax for subject is $2934. Property is a short sale with a offer on it pending bank approval. I would love to assist you with finding another home here in South Fulton.
