The Florence area has several good medical facilities...Eliza Coffee Memorial (ECM) in Florence, Hellen Keller in Tuscumbia, and Shoals Hospital in Muscle Shoals. However, for more specialized care, a lot of people will go to Huntsville, Birmingham or Nashville. Hope that helps!
