The breed restrictions suck!! I don't know what kind of dog you have but just about all of Florida considers German Shepards an aggressive breed!! We are moving there for a job relocation this coming year and we have to give her up cause of this. It really sucks cause we love her, and she is not aggressive at all. So YES, there are breed restrictions on just about all dogs that are REALLY dogs if you know what I mean. Any dog that is a good protector will be on the restricted breed list for sure. Not sure what you have, but just thought I would share this since we are going through this right now.

Many landlords have strict policies regarding dogs.

It will help if:

1. dogs weigh less than 25 pounds
2. dogs are on a flea control program (medication)
3. dog have current lic and all shots are current
4. dog are sterilized

As a dog lover I feel for my clients who have dogs ad are trying to locate a rental. You can also offer to pay an increased deposit for the pet.

Best of luck to you!!!

Dear Arnita,

A lot of communities will allow pets as long as they are not considered an aggressive breed. It all depends on what kind of dog you have.

I would be happy to help you find a home without any breed restrictions. Feel free to contact me with your wishlist.

Most condominiums in West Palm Beach, or anywhere else, have breed restrictions on dogs. Pit Bulls, for example, or any breed considered to be an attack dog, are typically banned.

In addition, most West Palm Beach condos, if they allow pets at all, will impose a number limit and a weight limit upon pets.

Hi Arnita~

The condominiums in San Michele are governed by San Michele Andros Isle Condominium Association, Inc. Their pet restrictions state:

* The pet described is not considered a "dangerous" pet nor is it being raised as an "attack" animal.
* The pet described is not a Pit Bull.

The rules and regulations only allow for one dog and one cat per condominium unit. However, if you are planning to rent, it is at the owner's discretion to allow pets or restrict them entirely.
