The best place to shop for food in Belltown is the Pike Place Market. It's like an open air Farmers Market every day of the week. Not all of the produce is organic, but much is locally grown, in season.

Pike place market is great if you are looking for something special for dinner, but if you need staples then your best bet is going north 5-6 blocks to the new safeway in lower queen anne - very nice.

A few blocks walk east on Blanchard should land you at the new Whole Paycheck...er...I mean Whole Foods

It might also be worth considering Amazon Fresh home delivery. They cover Belltown and you can select your delivery time.
For those not afraid to walk a little, I think as others have said, Pike Place is good and fresh, and Whole Foods has a great selection.

Trader Joe's on Queen Ann is great and not that far. Not to mention, parking will be a lot easier than at Pike's Place Market.

I agree with the info below - but would also recommend you check out the Kress IGA Supermarket that opened earlier this summer. It's located at 1423 3rd Ave. In addition to standard super market fare, they carry gourmet goods from local companies. They're open daily from 7a.m. - 10p.m. Enjoy!

If you just want a quick place to stop in and get a couple of things without heading down to the Pike Place Market, a couple of smaller places includes Ralph's at 4th & Lenora or City Foods at 5th & Vine.
