Hi Jack, Many times there's a saved search, or even your browers history may show your recent searches. If you're not getting contacted about a particular Scottsdale home let me know and I'll help you search.... more
I have a question: I found bed bugs in my apartment. I notified my management company. They sent an inspector three days later (all within the provisions of the Tenant/Landlord Act). I also contacted a bed bug expert. Since I read that it was my responsibility to pay for the bed bug fix, I opted to go with my guy (heated treatment vs the chemical treatment my landlord wants done).
I paid for the heated treatment, my guy came out and i'm bed bug free... but now the management is insisting that I pay for their company to come in and do a chemical treatment.
Hell-o out there. I am searching for a solution to our financial needs. My wife and I are near the bottom, and I just cant let that be. My wife is disabled as am I, we are also raising 2 grandchildren. I have about 42.5 acres east of Snowflake, AZ. It is about 6000 ft. elevation. I am trying to get a loan on this. So we can get a decent start again.... more
Well you indicated that you were looking in Scottsdale which pretty much makes this a very difficult challenge. It would have to be zoned for manufactured homes. You could look in one of the county islands around Scottsdale were the building codes are more liberal.
But the real question I have is why would you want to pay $96,500 (plus shipping and installation costs) for 400 sq ft of living space (that's $241 per sq ft) when you could buy a larger home for much less. I noticed these things are cool looking, but once you get tired of sleeping in your kitchen what will you do? And who will you sell it too when you want to move?
And keep in mind, that legally these are not real estate, they are personal property like a car or motorhome.... more
Whatever phone you get depends on what you're going to be using it for. Some phones are better for conducting business than other phones, and from the looks of it you're going to be using it in an office. I would get a phone with a good base that you can transfer lines easily on. I know I am looking for that kind of phone for my office. Good luck! http://www.comm-pro.ca... more
When buying short sale or foreclosure, we used to run property title search before we make an offer. We should know ahead if the property has any outstanding mortgage, property tax, liens or any thing that need to clear before we could close the transaction. I have been using http://www.nextace.com services for all of the tile search and property report.
Before closing, you can purchase a good title insurance policy will cover all of possible title problems for the new owner.... more
You want to list your home for sale with an agent that sells a large volume of homes and has an excellent track record--this means that they sell a very large majority of the listings that they take.... more
A great idea be to preview a few properties that are similar to the home that you are going to be renovating. Then you will know what the condition is of the homes that will be your competition. Just remember, buyers want to get the biggest best deal for the amount of money they spend so when you preview homes--look at them through the eyes of a buyer.... more
Have you had an agent prepare a cost market analysis for you? Realtors can provide this for you. This report will tell you the recently sold homes in the area, homes that are under contract, and actively listed homes that are similar to yours in the same part of McCormick ranch where your home is located. If you want to know the fair market value of your home, a real estate appraiser can tell you this.
If you can obtain private financing, you can finance the trustee sale purchase. To bid you will be required to show proof of $10,000 cashier's check made out to the trustee. The high bidder will be required to immediately deposit the $10K with the auctioneer and pay the remainder to the trustee by 5pm the next business day. This is where the private lender comes into play. Once you've paid the balance in full, and take ownership of the property, you can then start the refinance into a long term conventional loan.... more
Since your post was from 2009, it may have been a good idea to sell for the 35% loss back then. On the other hand, if you held on to it, today's market demand for land should have helped you to rebound to at or above your original purchase price. Did you ever sell your land?... more
Obtain opinions and quotes from licensed plumbers. With polybutylene, they usually only need to change out the fittings, not an entire re-piping. If you love the house and the plumbing is the only issue, negotiate on getting it fixed.... more
