I added the link for South Glens Falls School District- It seems classes will start on September 3 , 2008. The school's web site has loads of useful information.

Typically, the teachers return the day after Labor Day and the students start on Wednesday the day following the teaches.
A call to the district office would be suggested to confirm this information.
