What's a good high school for learning disabled/unmotivated students in Cary/Morrisville?

Hi all, we're moving to the Morrisville/Cary/Apex area and I'm trying to determine where the best school is to put my daughter. She's got a learning disability and I'm trying to find a school that is able to meet her needs. She needs a school that focuses on academics and supports the students well to meet their goals. All schools tell you that they can do that but my experience is that some do it much better than others. Any advice would be helpful! Thanks! Oh, I'd like to avoid high schools that have a lot of fights in them. Thanks again!

As the previous answers indicated, Wake County Schools has programs for all students.... (btw, Wake County is now the largest school system in NC, just surpassed Charlotte/Mech. County. ). One option that you might look at is private schools. Cary Academy and Ravenscroft are high end, Cardinal Gibbons is right in there, and there are a number of nnnn Christian schools, such as Cary Christian school (which is 2 minutes from my house in Cary.) The private schools might be able to provide more 1:1 face time with your daughter. We had a pretty severe ADHD son, who did OK with the public schools. I do not want to start a discussion of private v s public... just a thought.

Yes, Wake County has wonderful schools. However, being a former Wake County teacher, each Wake County school has something different to offer. I would highly recommend Middle Creek High School. I think this would be better than some of the other high schools in this area because it has a better mix of kids, so it is more likely to be able to meet the need of your child. In addition, I tutor students from Green Hope, Panther Creek, and Middle Creek. From what I have seen, the students from Middle Creek are getting the most extra support from the teachers, administration and guidance counselors.

FIRST ANSWER
Cara,
Here is a site with lots of data. You can change the city to look at Morrisville. I would also look for schools with a low teacher to student ratio. http://www.nichcy.org/stateshe/nc.htm
The above is also a link to NC list of programs and everything for disability and learning disabled children.

As far as the fights pull up the crime stats for that immediate area. Trulia has some stats if you go to the Stats and Trends tab at the top and put in the area you want to see.
