I agree that the West Broward public school system is excellent, with many "A" rated schools. Broward also has quite a few magnet schools, which are public, including ones with an International Baccalaureate, specialties in technology, pre-law, pre-medicine, marine biology and many others. A call to the school district may help you select the best school for your child.

Also, the high schools have many options including dual enrollment with the community college that are worth investigating.

Sonia,

You may want to visit

You may want to investigate some of the private schools in the area such as Pinecrest.

Best of luck!

Hi Sonia:

Broward County is the school district so I'm assuming you mean where are the best schools within Broward County.

Most of them tend to go towards the west - Weston, Davie, Cooper City, Coral Springs and Pembroke Pines (its charger school system has all A-rated schools) and the brand new West Broward High. Coral Springs and Coconut Creek have some great A-rated high schools and Pompano Beach High is a fantastic pre-law magnet school which accepts students from most of Broward County. Because there are fewer high schools in any one area - I tend to go by the high-school ratings. When the area has an A-rated high school, there's usually A-rated Middle and Elementary in the same place. HOWEVER, please don't hesitate to contact me if you're looking for a specific level. I'd be happy to send you the boundary maps together with the ratings.

I hope this helps!

Best wishes,
