your asking about how good a "government " school is? are you kidding. they are all the same, it's the government!!!!!
Greg, eneighborhoods has good info. Every school district has their own website so simply google the district name and you should get into their website. Almost all real estate agency websites provide links to local school districts. Camp Hill has one public school if you live within the borough, Camp Hill School District. Parts of the Camp Hill zipcode / mailing addresses fall into the West Shore School District with Cedar Cliff High School being the high school.. You have a private Catholic and christian school within a short distance also.
Hi Greg - If you have internet you can Google just about anything but the best way is to search several realtor sites to get a feel for what they all provide. I also provide a direct link to data from Eschools that will enable you to select each school for data - then go to the schools that interest you and talk to people you 'bump' into there... Hope that helps!
Greg. From someone who has lived in the area for a long time I will tell you that many buyers have looked to the Camp Hill Schools in a positive light. But what may be right for one family may not be for another family. I live in the Cumberland Valley School District and many feel that it a great school system, while others feel that the district is too large. Here are two sources you may want to check out; 1) my web site http://www.DonRoth.com, which has all the school sites and you can compare and the other is http://www.cyberhomes.com which gives you some ratings. I hope this is some help to you in your search and if you feel you need additional info, just give me a call. Thanks, Don. Don@DonRoth.com
Great advice from Jeff. After doing your basic research, actually visit the schools. Sit in on classes. Also, talk to parents. Find out what they like and don't like. It's more work than just research data on a computer, but it's the only way to really get a feel for the schools.
Hope that helps.
Greg,
We can certainly refer you to a Camp Hill expert. Also visit our site at http://www.thesomersteam.com to serach the school info. If you want a referral, our contact info is at our site.
Most real estate websites have school information that will compare schools all across the nation with objective information. You can also look at the state government website for basic school information. Most school systems also have test score information available on their own websites. After you have gathered these cold hard facts, pick several schools and go visit so that you can get an impression of the school from your personal perspective. Ask about the activities and programs your child will find the most appealing. Ask people you meet in town, but be aware that this type of one-on-one information may be slanted by their own experiences.
