Maria Crowley, Home Buyer in Charleston, SC

We are looking at the Hyde Park area, but we have three boys that are very active in sports. Is there a good rec center or YMCA that offers sports?

Hyde Park is one of the most beautiful areas of Tampa and Florida. On my short block there are mostly families with children. Most of are neighbors have 3 or more children. I have three. A park, Kate Jackson community center, is in the neighborhood. It has basketball courts, yoga and marshal arts. The interbay Family YMCA is an easy 1.5 mile drive. It has sports programs for children. Palma ceia little league is right next door with a beautiful facility. The downtown YMCA is for adults, and perfect for midafternoon workouts. The Lifestyle Familyt Fitness Center is in the neighborhood and all the neighbors walk to it. The longest continuous sidewalk, Bayshore Boulevard is about a block or two away. You can bike, jog, rollerskate or walk as it is 5 miles of uninterupted sidewalk on Tampa Bay. University of Tampa, and Tampa Preparatory School are a 5 minute drive. Both have summer programs for children in baseball basketball, soccer, for extra work with high school and college coaches.

Be sure to google the following: Interbay Family YMCA Tampa Florida, Palma ceia Little League, Kate Jackson Rec Center, Ballast Point Park, Tampa Preparatory School summer programs, University of Tampa (Children's summer programs)
