I like FB itself, but not sure about schools.
Not sure what your definition of larger is, but perhaps Lewisville, Carrollton, or Frisco are options.

Welcome to Dallas, you are going to love it here. You have many choices of areas to live and still have a 30 minute or less drive. Depending on the specific location within Farmers Branch you might consider, Coppell, Carrollton, Plano and Dallas. You do not mention the age of your children and therefore grade in school. Here are websites that correspond to the areas I mentioned: http://www.cfbisd.edu Carrollton, Farmers Branch http://www.pisd.edu Plano http://www.coppellisd.com Coppell http://www.dallasisd.org Dallas

Let me know how I can further assisit you,

Carrolton Farmers Branch is actually a very good school district as well as a nice convenient place to live. I am currently remodeling a home for sale in Farmers Branch that will be available in about 2 weeks for showings and will be for sale at 149k. 4 BRs / 2 Baths / 2 Living Areas. New fixutres, flooring, paint inside and out.

When moving to the area it is a very good idea to contact at least one Realtor if not tow and see which one you work with best. A local Realtor can help determine what areas may be best for you after listening to your full situation.

I would be happy to assist you in your relocation. I have lived all over the metroplex and am very familiar with many different areas of DFW. As an added bonus my lack of a large name broker means not only do you get personal, responsive services from one person, but I also rebate you 20% of my commission after the close.

Thanks for your time and good luck in your relocation

I think you'll want to live in Richardson! Richardson is just east of Farmers Branch and has exemplary schools. Here is a link to the school district website http://www.risd.org/.

There are lots of homes in Richardson in your price range. Send me an email with a list of the characteristics you'd like the house to have, and I'll email you some information on properties that are available. kerrythornhill@gmail.com

All the Best!!!
