This link is a great tool for looking up information about local schools. Since you are currently in the NC school system you can look up your current school system and compare information with Black Mountain schools. Of course our area has a lot of great private schools if you are willing to pay tuition. Good luck and I hope this was helpful.

I taught in the Owen District for 6 years before starting a career in real estate. Although a Realtor can't ethically tell you a certain school district is better than another, I can personally vouch for the schools in Black Mountain. It was a terrific place to work and I was proud to be among such a strong faculty (I taught at the middle school). The schools are not perfect by any means, but Owen Middle reached AYP and achieved high growth last year.
