Yes, Rush Creek is,...it is listed as #24 in the MCA testings of combined Math and Science. It is the best ranked Elementary School in this district. Rookie hasn't done their homework so gave you the wrong answer. Rice Lake is not a good school..ranked 520. Basswood is only in the 200's so essentially..Rush Creek is the best Maple Grove has to offer in the way of Public Schools.

No, ISD 279 has gone through a number of budget cuts in the past few years as a result of failing to make their anual AYP (Annual Yearly Progress). Many students are falling behind. Whether it's a result of larger class sizes (due to budget cuts), a poor curriculum, or just a mix of students that have it "tougher" is probably debatable. Either way, it's probably wise to look elsewhere for you child's education.

Schools just like restaurants and parks are subjective. Some people’s idea of a good school varies widely. I would suggest talking to parents that have children attending the school. During the school year several parents enjoy using the park trails that go past the school to walk their children to class. Many of them are very warm and friendly and I'm sure they would be more than willing to discuss their school with you. Also, here is a link to the district website. http://www.district279.org/Welcome/

Hey, Brad!
I always recommend http://www.schooldatadirect.com for clients to compare and contrast. It's hard for us to say if we've never had children in the school. And, even then, it's just our opinion. This website allows them to form their own opinion.

Good luck!

That is highly subjective. It would largely depend on what the school offers and what the parents were looking for.
