Rodney is right. Depends on the district. There are fees associated with these exceptions, but they do happen in some districts for all kinds of reasons.

Generally speaking, you will be required to take your student to the school that your household address is assigned. However, that only applies to public schools. If you choose to send your student to a private school - all bets are off and you can take them where ever you are willing to drive them. For more information about schools go to

It depends. Generally you would need to have permission from the district. This may be because your child started in high school in the district you are not living in and you want him or her to finish in that district. Your child may have special needs that are best handled in a different school district than you residence or other special circumstances that justify an exception. Certain schools have magnet programs for math, science, arts, or language which requires acceptance into.

Hi Will,
You would need to contact the school district directly to find out their policy.
