Hi Shakila,

It would be best to speak with our 7th Precinct - Nassau County Police Department to request information re: the crime rate in Massapequa. Their contact information, I listed below.
Seventh Precinct 3636 Merrick Road Seaford, N.Y. 11783,
Commanding Officer Inspector Mary Blanthorn. Precinct Crime Statistics ·...

There are two school districts in Massapequa. For Mass Schools information, you can google; Massapequa Public Schools and Plainedge Public Schools. These sites can answer most of your questions. Having grown up the Mass School District and currently raising my family in the Plainedge School District, I would be happy to meet with you and answer any of your questions. I am located right in Massapequa Park. Feel free to call me to set up an appointmnet at your convenience.

Realtors are not permitted to comment on schools or neighborhoods. Feel free to click on "school reports" at and check with the local police precinct for crime rates.

Hi Shakila,

Another site you can go to to check on the information you require for any town or school district is:

Massapequa (11758) is a very large area and has a number of school distrcts: Massapequa SD 23, Plainedge SD 18, Amityville SD 6 and Farmingdale SD 22. Depending on where a home is located within Massapequa will determine which SD that home belongs in.

When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the local police department with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent, or not, in specific neighborhoods.
For school information see links, also consider a visit to the school(s)...
