Great public schools are a strong point for the cluster of cities in central Marin, which is why some many people want to live here. Kids go to Neil Cummings for Elementary in Corte Madera, then Henry Hall in Larkspur, and finally move on to Redwood High School, three of the best in the county.

THe education in Larkspur is incredible. All Public schools have achieved the Distinguish school awards. THe elementary school- Neil Cummins has recently been remodeled and boasts a fabulous Gym. Situated on the edge of a large city park, the children have access to many sport fields. I was very active while my children were in school, being vice president of the PTA both in elementary and middle schools. THe grand part is that many parents show and take an active part in participation at the school levels. There are many preschools available starting with a coop called Twin Cities coop preschool. Again parents are very active in participation The middle school is Hall Middle school, and has just started this year to start at the 5th grade level going to the 8th grade. Each student is provided with a SPONSOR, a child of a higher grade level that helps them through the year on so many levels. There are also private schools in the area. There is St. Patricks which starts in the kindergarten and goes throught the fifth grade. There is also Marin Primary that is quite well known for their programs, also goes from kindergarted thru 5th grade. The High school is Redwood High that offers a tremendous amount of academic curriculars, plus theatre, dance, music and all sports programs. Redwood high school has many honor programs, and is on a beautiful campus.
