I would consider them equal although Hardin Valley is a newer constructed school.

Real estate agents are not allowed to comment on a variety of topics. The Fair Housing Act restricts the information that can be provided by a real estate agent.

Off Limit Topics Include:
• Crime Statistic (including questions about whether a neighborhood is good or bad or safe)
• Demographics
• Environmental Concerns
• Household Income
• Religion
• Schools (including questions about how good or bad the school is)

Determining to the answers to questions on any of the topics listed above is something that you would need to do on your own. It is up to the individual to make their own determination about a specific area. If a real estate agent were to comment on such a thing, it could be steering which is a prohibited act.

As my fellow Realtors have noted, there are some excellent resources you can access to determine which school system would be a better fit for your family. Should you need help determining where to purchase your next home, I would be more than happy to offer my assistance. May I ask whether you are actively looking at real estate, and whether you are making a move within the Knoxville area or are relocating from outside the area?

While choosing the area that best fits your needs and those of your family is of utmost importance, choosing the right Realtor can make all the difference in the world. Please let me know if I may answer questions, set up a search for your new home, or assist in putting you in touch with any resources you may need as you make these tough decisions. My number one priority is making my clients feel well taken care of as we navigate the home buying process.

I am available by phone, text, or email at any time.

Warmly,

I believe they are both comparable. When we relocated to Knoxville we visited several schools. I believe you learn so much just by the way you are greeted when taking the tour, meeting the front office staff and having a one on one with the principal. You can also access Greaterschools.com or http://edu.reportcard.state.tn.us/pls/apex/f?p=200:1:2773512… to learn more about the schools.

I hope that this helps at least a little.

Best Wishes!

That's almost like asking which are prettier, blondes or brunettes.

It is extremely hard to measure the "better" of schools because of the number of variables that go into making up a school. You could ask 100 families and each of the schools and I'm sure that the percentage of those that think it is wonderful and those that disagree would be close.

Politicians and business have tried to quantify the quality of schools. You can find data on each of the schools at http://edu.reportcard.state.tn.us/pls/apex/f?p=200:1:2773512… . After looking at the data, it will then pretty much come down to personal preferences.

Good luck. I hope this helps.
