Does anyone have any suggestions as to a great public elementary school with an excellent special education program? Thanks!

Our elder daughter is a special ed teacher. She recommends both Goshen Elementary and Laytonsville Elementary. Most often children in the Montgomery County Maryland Public School system are integrated into a classroom with children of all learning levels. Special attention is given to them during the day according to their needs. For instance, they may be sharing a class designed to improve reading skills, communication skills, etc.

Good luck!

Montgomery County, MD is renowned for its educational system, and from what I have heard, special education is no exception.

I would go to the Montgomery County website to learn more about what they offer:

Best of luck!

Realtors are not allowed to comment on schools.
I am not a realtor, therefore, I have no issue commenting on the public schools system.

Diamond Elementary School is the best elementary school for special needs. They have an unbelievable program. All 3 of my kids went to that elementary school and only one of them had special needs. The best part about their program is that it is an All Inclusion. Everyone is helpful and the severe special needs kids are well liked and respected. There is no tolerance for anything thing else.
