If your child has special needs that can be better met at another school then why would you not? I have friends who have their children in alternative schools as their childrens needs are met better and they are very pleased with the attention the children receive. Best of luck to you
Let me ask you, why not send your child to your local school? Socialization and learning about diversity and differences is one of the key social functions of our public school system. If you feel your school is lacking in some area, maybe you should take the leed to be more active and effect change from within. I have attended private and public schools, both were good in their own ways.
Are you speaking about this particular school? If so, I can't answer with specifics as I have not had a child attend there. But, I think that in general public schools where the residents (who by the way pay property taxes to support the school whether your child attends or not) are a good thing and vital to our social fabric as Americans.
