Hi Hugo,
Yes, this property is a year round home. Mt. Charleston does have its own school system, but shopping etc., is nearby in the NW area of the valley, below the mountain. Feel free to contact me with any questions! I spend a lot of time in the area, hiking, camping, etc.!

Mt. Charleston is a very nice area and as everyone has answered it is a year round community. I have a friend who's father did the sleigh rides at Mount Charleston for many years. You can have a summer home there and beat the Las Vegas heat in the summer also.

Hugo:

You can't go wrong in Mt. Charleston! This area borders a national forest and you are absolutely drowning in pines. It's also home to the Las Vegas Ski Resort. Several trails for hiking in the mountains. Elevation is up to around 9,000 feet so takes a bit of getting used to.... Gorgeous place about 30 minutes from Las Vegas. Shoot me your email and I'll send over examples of what's available. What's your budget?

We've lived up at Mt. Charelston over the last 40 years and have no problem living there year round. We have some friends who are considering selling their homes/cabins. Please call and we'll see if we can help you. Matt & Kim 702.501.0973

HI Hugo

As a 41 year resident of Las Vegas I can tell that
Mt Charleston is great place to get away from the
Vegas heat and if you don't mind snow and some colder
weather it is fine. It is a 30 minute drive to the strip

If I can be of further assistance and answer

Dear Hugo,

The homes up Kyle Canyon have electricity consequently there is more traffic. Those up Lee Canyon operate on generators and offer more privacy. So it is a matter of personal preference. I sold property up Lee Canyon and indeed it is a lovely area and certainly some folks live there year round.

Please call if we may be of assistance. We do real estate sales, property management, and probate.

Of course. Many people live here all year round. It is a very beautiful area. It is a little far from things, but most people who live here do not mind the distance to a supermarket or the distance to work. They enjoy the peace when they come home.

Hi Hugo, yes...quite a few folks live there year round. There is a pretty good restaurant up there that I go to for lunch now and then to escape the heat! I live in the NW end of Las Vegas which makes it a quick trip. I would love to help you look into any of the homes that are up there, it is a beautiful area! Feel free to call or email me at 702-370-1072 or lauri365@aol.com.
