Red,
You can call the number on your tax bill next to each item on the tax bill to find out how long.
If you don't have a tax bill handy, you can go online, you are already here, and go to riverside county tax assessors website and input your address, and see the tax bill with the phone numbers to inquire.

Hi Benjamin. I agree with Jo below. Ask to see this supposed agreement. If one cannot be produced (and it sounds like you don't recall signing one) then just pay what you would consider a fair split in your area. But I would pay nothing until a real agreement is signed so that the other broker does not keep coming back to you claiming you owe more.

Hi Angelica,
RESPA law requires that the client receive a GFE withing 3 days of mortgage application which would include the following information, providing informaton for credit check (social security number, name, address, & date of birth), income and asset information, and a subject property. If you have all that then he broke the law by not providing GFE. Sounds like he may have done this on purpose because once GFE is provided his fees can't change except for discount points (fee to buy interest rate down). His origination points are set at the time of GFE. Discount points are set at the time rate is locked.
There is no set points and it depends on the lender but 2.5% sounds really high unless buying rate down. If you need a second opinion, let me know, I work for Primary Residential Mortgage and we are a national mortgage banker that does lend in California and we are doing the Home path program.

I think that flexibility is important, and many Realtors(r) are realizing that there are many data solutions that surpass local MLS capabilities...I would say as long as NAR doesn't object, the Realtor(r) should do what he/she can do succeed, with or without the MLS. It's just sad that it's taken a long time for MLS's to catch onto new technology and understand the shift in real estate technology.... more
