Jessie,

I saw your initial question and was hesitant to respond....As a Realtor we are bound by a code of ethics which prohibit us from discrimination against someone based on race and family status.

Part of the problem is wwe cannot tell you where to go and not go.... I understand your plight in wanting to knwo areas that are more condusive to your status.

I can tell you i moved here eight years ago and have sold homes in most of eastern, northern and southern areas of Charlotte and that question has never been an issue in any of the areas I have sold homes or helped people find rentals.

Charlotte is a well diversified city and like all other cities has it 's bright spots and it's not so bright spots. trulia has a link on it's website for crime data to help you decide if an area you are looking to rent is considered safe by your standards.

For schools there are really 2 differnet websites to help you out. One is http://www.greatschools.org and the other is ncreportcards.net. These will give you soem information on the schools and how they perform academically as well as parents reviews of them.

I hope this helps you out

I get the law how ever some communities are not friendly to blacks . So if an average person can answer where the racial barrier lines are in Charlotte? Also the high crime area? As all cities have these issue not looking for a lawful answer but raw un bias truth.

Good afternoon, Jessie. Fair housing laws prohibit discrimination based on race or familial status, so there should be no barriers because of that. Here are some rental sites that might help.
