is it possible for a felon to find a home for his family? we have been looking for over a year and no one will take us. Beginning to lose hope

One thing to know is that each home is individually owned so each landlord/owner can make up their own mind regarding whether it is a good risk or idea to rent to somebody based on your circumstances. If your case I would include a detailed explanation of what happened in your life that caused those events and how you have or are in the process of turning that around. While the market for rentals is tight right now you will find a place to call home. It just may take more time as you already know. Take the time to put your situation into words and I think that will help a lot in your situation.
