I represent 60 investors that own and purchase rental homes. The understand how to evaluate and accept Section 8 tenants and prepare properties for Section 8 approval. I have one 3BR/2BA home in Lawerenceville currently getting a total renovation, it should be completed and listed soon.
Check out http://www.goSection8.com where owners list homes where they will accept Section 8. Most owners do not understand how the Section 8 programs work and thus do not accept tenants. Property managers have to do more work to process a Section 8 tenant and therefore do not encourage owners to accept Section 8 tenants. Additional many property managers in metro Atlanta offer agents working with tenants little to no compensation to brokers working with and representing tenants so it is very difficult to get a broker to assist you without paying the broker a fee.

I'm not in your are but search for an agent that does rentals. If an agent does rentals its likely that they'll take a section 8 client. Also, there are some other avenues I'd suggest and they are 1. section8.com; good resource 2. newspaper in your area. Some people may say section 8 welcome and others may not but I'd call them all and ask if they take it. All they can do is say no but some actually say yes. 3. ask your housing office if they have a list of all the homes on their section 8 list. I'm not sure about there but here they provide the prospects with a list you just have to call and go down the list finding all the ones in your range and then calling all the landlords on the list. Its time consuming but well worth the work.
