Very high. I live here. Not has high as the rest of Vallejo, however, with so many Section 8 and low income tenants occupying houses because of large subsidies to private property owners, $2,000 a month for a 4-5 bedroom room, many take the risk because the payments are guaranteed deposits while the neighborhood begins to turn to "blight". I would stay away from anything west of Columbus Road, stay away from any Apartment buildings near Ascot or Columbus, lot's of robberies there. Remember, Vallejo doesn't have much of a police department with only 6 cops patrolling 115,000 during the day and 90% of all calls I am told are considered low priority. For the same amount of rent, consider Fairfield, Benciia, American Canyon. A lot less "ghetto" over there. Over 60% of all tenants who in live in downtown Vallejo alone at Section 8 and many more throughout the city.

Hello Mike, These links may assist you with crime statistics:

I noticed you are a home buyer asking questions in "Rentals in Vallejo". There is not much inventory in Rentals or purchase in Vallejo. What is the maximum rent or price your looking to achieve and are there any other cities your considering.

Do you have a pre-approval, down payment and closing costs? Do you have a BK or foreclosure in the last 2-3 years? If not you may qualify to buy FHA from a minimum 580 fico score and 3.5% down or as low as half percent down payment program. You may qualify to buy with minimum out of pocket expenses and pay less than rent.

I specialize in Over and Under 640 Fico Score Loans and offer credit repair at no cost to raise fico scores to qualify. I can raise fico scores within 3-4 day in most cases. It only takes a few dozen questions to qualify you in minutes and go over your options. Here is a needs list to gather for processing a loan approval, DU Approval or pre-approval letter to get out shopping for a home of your choice.

Here are some links to study and consider that I offer in RENT vs BUY options.

Realtors are not allowed to discuss Crime;
please contact local police or search on-line.

They can provide demographic information though. That pretty much answers everything.
