Rentals in Keller>Question Details

Stephanie, Home Buyer in Sparta, NJ

We are moving to the Keller, Trophy Club or Haslet area and we want to rent a house that we will buy when our home in New Jersey sells.

Asked by Stephanie, Sparta, NJ Sun Jun 13, 2010

We don't want to move twice or move our children to another school once we get settled. Any suggestions?

Welcome to Texas Stephanie!

I know of a situation that may work perfectly for you and your family.

I have a family in Haslet that have already bought and closed on their new home. Based on the circumstances they (your situation is ideal) would be willing to lease their home. It’s a beautiful 4 bedroom, 3 baths with a HUGE game room, pool and outdoor living area. If all goes well once your house in New Jersey sells we could begin the process for purchasing their house.

As a back up there are several sellers in the Haslet, Keller and Trophy Club areas that are willing to do similar types of leases. We just need to begin the process of finding the area that works best for your family.

Let me know if you would be interested in getting more information.

Strongly recommend that you contact John Jackson at john@leasingtobuy.com. He has a 4 Bedroom, 3 bath house for lease to own on Wildcreek St. in Keller. Beautiful home near pool and golf course. Best schools.

Dear Stephanie - take a look at 8837 Oakville St. Keller, Texas 76244 - I could lease my home to you - probably 6 month minimum, and perpetual 3 month renewals - $1850/month I think is reasonable for 3400 sq ft - there is a bunch of homes for sale in the area - so you should have plenty of opportunities and time to find a home you want to purchase while staying in the area. This buys me time to sell our home. I have already purchase another home in Oregon and am dreading the double mortgage - but am not going to lower our selling price anymore - I don't have to fire sale - with a good tenant like you - this could be a win win. You get time to find a home in a prime real estate area / vet out some good buys, and I get time to keep my house on the market or at least wait a little for the market to come back a little. If interested in leasing please contact me direct at gianninewsome@gmail.com

Hi, Stephanie

I could show you homes that are being offered for-sale and for-lease in our Realtor MLS at the same time. Some owners will take whichever type of prospect (a Renter or a Purchaser) that makes them a good offer first. Once you get your New Jersey home sold and the lease ends, you could purchase the home you are then living in and not move a second time.

I would need to know what kind of home you want to purchase so that I can go into MLS and find those that fit your criteria and whose sellers will also take a lease. Just contact me with that information and I'll go to work for you.

If you wish to look at homes for-sale or for-lease online in our North Texas MLS...in the cities you mentioned above... feel free to use my website, http://www.SusanHeath.com.

HI Stephanie, I would be happy to assist you with your search. This will be a little tricky, but we can work it out...in Texas we are only allowed a buyer pre-lease for 90 days tied to the sale of the purchase so we would have to work out another scenario, which shouldn't be a problem,

The trick will be finding the seller who can lease until your home in NJ sells...most times the sellers would need the proceeds from the sale to put down on the purchase of their new home...but every person's situation is different.
