traffic is the worst around 7-9 am and then again 5-7 like most commutes but there are always back roads and ways around it .... for me it can take me up to 10 minutes to get out of my own neighborhood but i still like the area its close to everything.

Traffic can be bad during the morning and evening commute, but unfortunately traffic is bad during those times all around metro Atlanta. It depends on where your job is located and what you consider a "reasonable" commute time. I currently live in Buckhead, an area inside of the city of Atlanta and work in Sandy Springs, a close in suburb that's 10 miles away. It takes me no less than 35 minutes to get to work and back on average. I know of people living about 15-20 miles away from the job (in Stone Mountain) and on a good day it takes them 45 minutes to get to work, but on a bad day, it takes them an hour and a half. Traffic is generally bad in metro Atlanta and unless you're way out from the main core counties and not working in the main core counties; you will experience much traffic. I hope this answers your question.

hello and congrats on your move
I actually live in this area and traffic seems to be a Georgia issue overall not just Stone Mountain driving into downtown may pose a problem coming from pretty most areas if you ask a few people and depending on the time of day anywho. I'd love to help your family find a place to call home here in Stone Mountain just give me a call lets get started

Dpending on the time of day you can count on 45 minutes heading into the downtown area and as Michael pointed out it could be worse with an accident or with weather issues. The commute home would generally take an hour if leaving downtown via interstate 85.

It all depends on where you are commuting to and from, Tyrone and Dawn Blakmajik. If going west into downtown Atlanta, there would likely be a 25-30 minute drive in the heart of rush hour, unless there was an accident or extreme weather. If going east, towards where we live, you could probably drive twice as far in less than half the time. Please call, text or email if we can provide further assistance. Good Luck!
