If you are moving and your furnishings are en route - it might make the most sense to get into a vacation rental. Some will offer a discount to those wanted to stay 30 days or more. This way you'd get a furnished place - if you find one with a kitchen, you can save money by not eating out every meal and the idea being that you'd secure employment during your stay in a vacation rental - so that you could move into a long-term rental, which would be much less expensive. A few places to look for vacation rentals would be http://www.vrbo.com or homeaway.com or vacationrentals411.com.

It's pretty hard as rental inventory is low and landlords are choosy about the credit quality of the tenants. You might be able to find some month to month places.
