Rexwhitzel, the property referenced to your question shows a rental amount of $1795. That amount references a monthly amount for an annual rental. A seasonal rental would be double that amount.

If you are interested in a seasonal rental for January, most are rented by the full month, 1st to end of the month. There might be a property with availability for the month of January which is right around the corner.

Rentals are posted but not always updated as to their current status because the rental market tends to be very quick.

If you are planning on securing a seasonal rental plan on paying for the rental fee and security deposit at the time of booking. The rental fee will include the cost of the rental, utlitilies, security desposit, an exit cleaning fee and a 15% tourist tax.

Any rental less than six months is subject to a tourist tax. The actual percentage is related to which Florida county.

Best regards,

Rex,

Below are a couple other links you may want to try (My Florida Homes and VRBO.com). You will find most of the same rentals on each site, but it is worth browsing through all of them to make sure you see everything available. Also, many people like to use Craigslist, but I strongly discourage it. There is a problem with "scammers" taking pictures and real information from agents and making them look like legitimate listings. They get unsuspecting customers to send a deposit check and take the money and run. Just my input. Try these links and best of luck.

You can search the MLS for rentals on my web site at tammyhayesre.mfr.mlxchange.com or you can search the following rental sites. Most seasonal rentals are booked at least 6 months to a year in advance unless there is something new that comes on the market.
