Xalias, Renter in Lynn

Looking for a friendly and welcoming neighborhood!

Asked by Xalias, Lynn Fri Apr 13, 2012

Hi, l am looking for a friendly location, one with out racism and discrimination as I am returning from the military and will be settling in Lynn or around. I am hearing stories of how some neighborhoods are unwelcoming to certain races and coming from the military one of the most diverse organizations in the world, it's really difficult to be living around racism which I believe is inevitable, but does anyone have insights or suggestions on this? Thanks!

Thank you for your bravery and commitment to serving this Country. Realtors are legally unable to answer the questions you asked but I am sure some folks who have lived in Lynn can give you a perspective. My other suggestion - which i tell all our buyer clients unsure of a neighborhood - is take a weekday or weeknight and spend time in the neighborhood. Go to lunch/dinner, walk the parks and get a sense for the local community. There is no opinion better than your own.

Here is every property on the market in Lynn to get you started:

Hope that helps!

Hello Xalias,

you have a very interesting question here that realtors can not really answer as it would be against the law as it could be viewed as steering you in one or another direction. However, there are many resources where you can check a specific city/town and learn about its demographics. Click on this link http://www.wenrealty.com and then click on community profile and select a city/town. If we can be of assistance please let us know, we have worked and helped veterans purchase homes. Waye-- wenrealty@yahoo.com

Maybe the honest truth may not be the answer, but I would rather have an honest answer that a two sided one. But thank you for your time, I appreciate the answer.

Hello Xalias! Welcome Home and thank you for your service in the military for our country. I think you should be welcomed anywhere you go and be thanked millions of time for your dedication.

Regardless, I happen to have a home in the Veterans Village of Lynn. This area was developed in the 1940-50's to house military servicemen and their family. It is well kept, quiet and surrounded by trees and friend neighbors who take pride of their home and their village.

You will find many neighborhoods in the North Shore and Boston area, that are friendly and humble. It will all depend of what is that you are looking for in terms of size, amenities, price range, schools, etc.

If you have any towns in mind, check their website and you will be able to find population, amenities, schools - data produced by the last census.

I will gladly send you additional information on programs to various areas, first time home buyers, veterans, etc.

Please feel free to visit my website and contact me:

Again, thank you for your note. It is very humble and straightforward and it is so sad that you needed to make a request like that.

Warmly,

Thank you for your answer. Yes I would rather be straight forward than beat around the bushes and put myself in a situation that would jeopardize the well being of my family and I. I know not much people ask that, but I know we know it happens everyday. Again, thank you for your time, I really do appreciate it.
