I see you have a number of responses already, and no, it should not be difficult to find a 1-bedroom condo for a year. Shorter term possibilities exist, but fewer of them. Start a month before or even a bit earlier. Difficulty depends on the location and what you are willing to pay.

Yes I would be happy to assist with this rentals are hot in the northern Virginia area. You are welcome to start searching on my website at unless you are willing to break your lease early I recommend looking one month prior to your desired move date. There is a lot of competition for rentals so if landlords have the choice between you and someone who can move at the end of January you can see who they are going to opt for.
Please let me know your criteria as sometimes I hear of things before they go on the market good luck regards Lydia associate broker va,md,dc

Most leases are 12 month minimum, so you'd be fine if you're willing to sign for that duration. Some are 6 or even 3 month. There will be plenty of 1BR/1BA places available in that area or within easy commute. You'd be looking at $1300 and up per month.

Hi, best time to look for March rentals is between 1-10 of Feb. When you say short term in our area short term is 6 months or less. You appear to be looking for a 12 month lease which is a normal lease term for all rentals. The property you inquired about is rented. Not my listing but I actually put my client in that unit. If you want a better way to find rentals use a professional. Thanks!
