I'm a 16 year old seeking emancipation, how likely would it be that I would be able to rent an apartment and take care of myself?

Many landlords do background & Credit checks and base their decision on this. However, many do not. Keep looking until you find a situation that you like and will accept you as a renter based on your word. Is your word good?
Good luck.

Friddlejay,
My guess is not good. Your best odds are with a friend or family member as a roommate. At your age you likely don't have any established credit to check and I don't think you can legally sign a lease agreement until you are declared emancipated by a court.
Since you are seeking legal emancipation, an attorney who has experience with this will be your best source of reliable information.

Less likely than when you reach your majority.
