Rentals in Danville>Question Details

Nsq, Renter in Danville, CA

I have just moved from Columbus, OH . My work is in Hercules but my wife will be commuting to Hayward. What will be an ideal place to rent for now ?

A good neighborhood is most important. and I can commute more distance then I would like my wife to commute. Secondly our kids are homeschooled so having good schools is not an issue for now.

Welcome to California - you are living in a wonderful area! Depening on your budget... anywhere near BART will service you well.... Orinda to Concord, If you live on the Walnut Creek side of the tunnel, then your wife can drive to work (Hercules) and you can jump on BART to Hayward.... best of both worlds.

Hi,

You may want to look in Pleasanton, Dublin and oossibly Castro Valley. Let me know if you need any help.

If you are interested in renting in Danville I have a great townhouse that just came on the market yesterday. Please let me know if you would like to see the property.

Thanks,

The best choice will be to ask your colleagues at work and then do the trial commute yourself from various places that have been suggested already or may come about.

Good luck!

The commute from Alamo would be quite a bit longer for your wife.
Having lived in Dublin, I can recommend it highly.
It would be a central location, access to BART and a shorter commute for your wife.

Good luck and may God bless

There are so many great places here in the greater East Bay. Pleasanton, Dublin, San Ramon would all be fairly close. They are quiet cities with very good schools as well. The rental demand in our area has been rather high so finding homes can be a challenge. Just be ready to act quickly once you find a good one.
Best of luck to you!!

Perhaps you can consider the neighboring town of Alamo. It has good established neighborhoods and gives you a workable location for commute.
